For this show, Jim is looking to explore the point at which a painting is finished. Working on two large canvases over an extended period of time he is pushing himself to keep painting beyond the point when he would normally down brushes and call the painting complete. In doing so, Jim is hoping to gain some insight into the way of paint, and the psychology of letting the bird in the hand go, in the hope of catching the two in the bush.
